Do i need a SanDisk Extreme to record HD videos? which SanDisk should i buy?

Okay so my digital camera records HD and i just got it with a 2GB SanDisk SD/SDHC Card..So the gigs are obviously very low but when i came to buying a new one i saw this SanDisk Extreme HD Video – 20MB/s
So does that mean if i record videos using SD/SDHC the videos wont be HD but if i use SD Extreme videos are gonna be in HD? Does this even make sense ???

  1. No it’s the speed of the card that counts. The size doesn’t mean much but the speed does.
You need a class 10 card – the fastest available at the moment. I shoot a Canon t1i and use
8gb / Class 10 cards. My video will run for 12 minutes because of the speed of the card but also
your video will record so fast you’ll not even know it’s happening. These cards are about $25.
