I am looking to buy a digital camera for under $100 which name brand is know for an HD video mode?

  2. I don’t think you’re going to find anything with HD video for that price. Best increase your budget.

    You’re not going to find a GOOD camera WITH HD Video under $100. If you just want it for the HD video, you might want to attempt to look at camcorders. I don’t know much about them myself, but it might be possible to find one there.

  4. Hi Matt, Unfortunately I don’t think you’ll be able to find a new digital camera from a good brand with HD video for <$100.

    A couple of suggestions:
    - check craigslist for people selling cameras in your area – this is a great way to find a good camera for a steep discount
    - check out a Flip video camera which takes HD video and sells for $100 to $150. Unfortunately, they do not take good still photos.
