Is it possible to watch film recorded with my HD Sony Camcorder on a regular NON hdtv?

I have a sony hd camcorder but I do not have a hdtv. Is there a way I can watch film recorded with my hd camcorder on a regular tv? or do I have to buy an hdtv in order to watch the film?

Thanks

You should be able to watch it on a non-HD TV. Look and see if there’s a yellow, red, and white plugs on the camcorder. If there is, then you can watch it on a non-HD TV. If all you see is HDMI output, then it’s only for HD TV. I’d be shocked if the camcorder doesn’t have the yellow, red, and white output.

  2. Just try to plug it in.

If you have a HDMI or other cables that don’t fit, just go to the elektronic store and ask if they have a convertor for an old television. Maybe the yellow thingy

HD means that images are sharper, so more pixels/dots like 1920 dots horizontal

    normal tv has 720 pixels

There is no problem watching the 1920 pixel on a low resolution screen.
